The Christmas Bavard Bar is always an extra special show, but this year promises to be so good we’re doing it twice at each venue!

​In addition to the usual mix of fabulous speakers sharing their unique and extraordinary passions and the hilarious highjinx of KP Lite, Oojah Kappivvy, Bohemia Road, Victoria Drive, Make It Stop and Pearl or Dean, we are, thanks to Kamikaze Komedy, joined by extra special guest and top comic…Tony Law! (Have I Got News For You, 8 Out Of 10 Cats, etc.) who will round off the night with a set of his wonderfully surreal and absurdist comedy!

​Piano Man Dan, Bav-artist Maria O’Neill, Marky Sparky and your glittering MC, Tim B’vard will of course also be there to manage the madness and guide you through this jam-packed evening – don’t miss it!

The Bavard Bar is delighted to announce that Johanna Wood and Mark Sander have joined the BB team. When asked why they had joined the team, Mark Sander, or ‘Mark Sparky’, said he’d never heard of the Bavard Bar, and Jo Wood said she had to go as her kettle had just boiled.

In the most wonderful news, Maria O’Neill is returning to The Bavard Bar from July 2023, after a recent extended trip to Ireland.

As a one-off, and because of a live-streaming of the Royal Ballet, November’s St Leonard’s Bavard Bar at Kino-teatr is on the 4th Wednesday of November which is 23rd November. The St Leonard’s Bavard Bar will revert to its usual 3rd Wednesday slot at Kino-teatr from December.

In HUGE news, the Bavard Bar is re-starting at Towner in Eastbourne from Wednesday, 13 July and on the 2nd Wednesday of every month from then. Tim B’vard said he was beyond excited…

Tim B’vard was delighted to open ‘A Town Explores A Book’ Festival for 2022 at Kino-teatr in St Leonards with a themed one-off Bavard Bar focussing on Rumer Godden’s ’The Diddakoi’. Sharing their stories that night were Dan Allum, Jess Bayley and Jake Bowers, beautifully supported by Montague & Armstrong

Tim B’vard was super-excited to MC Kamikaze Komedy’s first comedy show at East Hastings Sea Angling Association. The show saw two of the UK’s top comedians, Josephine Lacey and Tony Law entertain a sold out and packed venue.

From September 2021, the Bavard Bar has joyously re-started its regular live monthly show at Kino-teatr in St Leonards-on-Sea.

In gloriously exciting news, the live Bavard Bar will be re-starting in St Leonards and Eastbourne.

With three fabulous speakers, a sparkly new game (‘Make it Stop’), and all the usual bavardian trimmings, the show will re-open at the Kino-teatr in St Leonards on Wednesday, 21 July. And it will re-open at the Towner in Eastbourne on Wednesday, 8 September.
